Cybersecurity Director. Served as Administrator for Pearson Vue, nationally franchised computer-based testing and professional certification and licensing center. Martin increased Bakersfield center profits by 214% and testing services by 430%. His team verified candidates’ identities, threats, and mitigated potential test fraud. Pearson Vue has been a leader in the security testing field since its inception.

Testing Center

Technology Director. Martin led the central valley in digitally focused micro-targeting approaches. Kept up on the latest industry trends software. Initiated, integrated, and lead his team to make full use of more than a dozen advanced specialized programs for online ticket sales, PayPal donations, barcode scanning, email marketing, contact management, networking, and time management.

Polling example:  while many pollsters use only one method, Martin uses five polling-specific software programs related to THREE polling techniques to ensure survey integrity. Conducted 50+ polls while at WPR on matters requiring public input on key community issues.

Human Resources Director / Staff Augmentation. Martin was also HR director with a staff of 10-25 individuals including computer personnel. Provided work direction and guidance, trained staff, reviewed timecards, scheduled employee hours, interviewed candidates for new positions, evaluated performance. Managed payroll.

Lobbying — Worked with Fortune 500 companies. Initiated and Managed Major Contracts. Negotiated and managed contracts for improved public services in the fields of aviation, gaming regulations, healthcare, trucking, and waste management.

Lobbying — Supported California Prop 22 (app-based jobs and services [Uber/Lyft]. Raised money and focused on direct mail in the Central Valley to get out the vote. Made sure that “Yes on 22” was secured on several long-standing statewide voter guides. Overall, Prop 22 won in Kern with 67% of the vote as well as overwhelming support throughout other Central Valley counties.

Social Media Director. Strategies include assessing brands, creating social media content, Google Ad words, paid social advertising, search engine optimization, understanding data analytics, and YouTube ads. Four social media feed examples: First in Kern County to initiate four social media feeds for a live broadcast including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. The hour-long feed was extremely successful with tens of thousands tuning in.

Public Speaking and Training. Frequently invited to speak on numerous issues and topics and conducted social media training events. Speaking and class events included two national conventions, state conventions, and assemblies.

Videos, Television and Radio ads. Co-wrote and directed 100+ TV ads and commercials and 50+ radio spots and ads.
